Our military men and women have served honorably over the years.  They have sacrificed their bodies and even their lives, time with their family, and opportunities within the private sector in exchange for their service.  These sacrifices should be remembered within public policy.  During my undergraduate degree I had the opportunity to work for the National Veterans Business Development Corporation, an organization under the Department of Veteran Affairs.  This organization provided access to educational tools and capital to assist veterans in the creation of small businesses, encouraging entrepreneurship and job creation.

As your congressman, I would encourage opportunities such as this. I believe we need to remember the debt we owe our veterans and the sacrifices they made beyond existing policy.  They deserve our care and respect within our society.
