I am a pro-life individual who believes human life is a gift and that it is constitutionally protected.  Since 1973 there have been over 52 million abortions performed within the United States.  Far too often this practice is used as a means of birth control, demonstrated by the fact that almost half of all abortions are performed by women who have had more than one.  I believe that with the Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade, the federal government constitutionally stepped out of its legal bounds, forcing states to destroy life, not to protect it. 

As your congressman, I promise to promote legislation which encourages education and the expansion of adoption opportunities.  In addition, I would support legislation that would limit the federal court’s jurisdiction of abortion.  The civil liberties of all citizens should be protected, even those citizens who do not have a voice.
