A personal message from Jason Greene:
Are you tired of politics as usual? Individuals who are afraid to have substance and to be aggressive in the name of our constitution? If you are seeking leadership, someone who will be honest about their positions, who will stand up for sound economic growth, fight for constitutional liberty, and get the federal government off our backs, then I am your candidate in the August 7th Republican primary.
I am a teacher, not a career politician or candidate. I’m running for Congress because I believe in the American dream and I’m tired of witnessing it being destroyed due to special interests, federal mandates, and attacks on liberty.
I know if given the opportunity, we can secure a victory for our American way of life against the status quo Emanuel Cleaver in November. I promise to run an aggressive campaign, challenging him on his hypocrisy with special interests, foreign policy, and his legislation which has done nothing but leave the poor and middle class without hope. It’s time for a fresh face and new perspective, it’s time to run a candidate who can challenge Cleaver in the urban core, and it’s time to nominate a fighter who will stand on principle.
I hope to earn your vote on August 7th, and together usher in a new type of campaign and way forward.

To Concerned Show Me State Voters
In times of great uncertainty and unrest, times of economic turmoil and international peril, we seek leaders with honor, principle, knowledge and fortitude. We desire those who know that principles are matters of heartfelt conviction that will neither seek nor accept compromise. Indeed leaders who understand, that which accepts compromise is merely opinion. It is time for leaders who know that the issues are societal symptoms and the U.S. Constitution is the cure.
The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the land as stated in Article VI, and as required by Article VI our leaders swear an oath to uphold and defend it. This requires knowing the Constitution and obeying it. A true leader sees this as a sacred vow, not an empty ceremony. We desperately need leaders who know that the Constitution is the civil law of restraint on government, imposed by "we the people... Such leaders know that the people are the masters, not the servants.
As a former candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, using these criteria, I wholeheartedly give my personal endorsement to Jason Greene U.S. House of Representatives District 5, Missouri.
A free market approach to addressing the current economic burdens facing our families.
Open and deregulate domestic energy production- As your congressman I would promote more efficient access to energy resources through trade and the deregulation of domestic energy opportunities to ultimately spur investment and create access to cheaper forms of energy. Opportunities for safely extracting shale oil should be encouraged, along with the safe drilling of resources in ANWR, and expanding use of clean coal and natural gas. In addition to this, private businesses must assume all of the financial risk of these endeavors without federal government subsidies. Establishing additional environmentally friendly access to energy has the opportunity to create hundreds of thousands of new jobs, enhance our energy supply and increase the amount of choices to energy access.
Strengthening our dollar by reigning in the Federal Reserve and our National Debt - With the FED comes the ability to print money out of thin air, through quantitative easing that has been spent toward international banks, foreign governments, unnecessary programs and wars. We saw this demonstrated as the FED spent more than 2 trillion dollars during the bailout. These powers give the FED unchecked power to manipulate and devalue our currency, acting as an unlegislated tax. I support a complete audit and dismantling of the FED and its’ ability to manipulate our economy.
Currently, our national debt has exceeded 15.7 trillion dollars, with over 100 trillion in unfunded liabilities heading our way. Our current path is unsustainable and has left massive inflationary burdens on our dollar. Left unresolved, it will lead to a currency debasement. Beyond auditing and dismantling several departments, I support broad cuts to foreign aid and nation building operations.
Eliminate the Department of Energy and diminish imbedded tax burdens- The Department of Energy’s original goal was to diminish the costs of energy and reduce foreign energy dependence, obviously there has been no success with such. The DOE has served as a special interests slush fund, which has artificially driven up the costs of commodities through subsidization. I would support the repeal of these programs along with the fuel consumption mandates for ethanol and resist prospective consumption mandates for other renewable energies. In Addition, I would refuse appeals to impose new taxes and/or regulations on energy producers and manufacturers.

Jason Greene picked up a big endorsement with the support of best-selling author and regular fill-in national talk radio host Tom Woods. Dr. Woods released the following statement in support of the Greene campaign:
"Voters of the Fifth District, take note. You have something most Americans do not: the opportunity to elect someone who isn't another of the interchangeable drones, full of rehearsed answers, who populate the American political class. Jason Greene actually believes in something other than his own advancement. At a time like this we could use someone who understands why economies go boom and bust, and who doesn't mindlessly repeat what he read last week in the New York Times. We can have more red ink, more foreign-policy fiascoes, and the bankruptcy of America, or we can support Jason Greene and people like him, and put a stop to it all, finally."
Thomas E. Woods, Jr., is a senior fellow of the Ludwig von Mises Institute. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard and his master’s, M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Columbia University. He is the author of eleven books, most recently Rollback: Repealing Big Government Before the Coming Fiscal Collapse and Nullification: How to Resist Federal Tyranny in the 21st Century. His other books include the New York Times bestsellers Meltdown: A Free-Market Look at Why the Stock Market Collapsed, the Economy Tanked, and Government Bailouts Will Make Things Worse and The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History, as well as Who Killed the Constitution? Gutzman), Sacred Then and Sacred Now: The Return of the Old Latin Mass, 33 Questions About American History You’re Not Supposed to Ask, How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization, and The Church and the Market: A Catholic Defense of the Free Economy. RLC proclaims, "... Jason Greene is the Kind of Leader We Need to Restore Integrity to the Republican Party"
AUSTIN, TX - The National Board of the Republican Liberty Caucus is pleased to announce the endorsement of Jason Greene in the Republican primary in Missouri's 5th Congressional District. Jason Greene is an outsanding candidate who represents the principles of limited government and individual liberty to which the Republican Liberty Caucus is dedicated.
"Voters in Missouri are starting to realize that our nation cannot survive when both parties promote more government at the cost of our liberties," said RLC National Chairman Dave Nalle. "Jason Greene represents the new direction of American politics, with personal integrity, a dedication to the best interests of the people and a firm belief in constitutionally limited government. He is exactly the kind of Representative we need to send to DC to work with our 2010 endorsees like Justin Amash (MI) and Rand Paul (KY)."
"Jason Greene is a champion of individual liberty and limited government who will not give ground on fundamental principles and will hold both the Democrats and our own party leadership accountable for their failures," observed RLC Board member Bill Westmiller. "He will take up the serious work of rolling back federal spending, ending the cycle of uncontrolled debt and speaking up for the rights and interests of the people of their states."
Following on the election of more than two-dozen RLC endorsees to the House and Senate in 2010, the RLC has set a goal of doubling that number in the 2012 election. With a larger core of newly elected, principled representatives in Washington we can swing the debate away from the big government status quo and towards putting the best interests of the people first.
In 1774 John Adams wrote that the revolution had been completed "in the minds of the people" before conflict ever broke out, and we believe that a similar revolution in attitude is taking place in the United States today. The people are no longer content to sit idly by and accept the dictates of an out of control government. We demand the restoration of our liberties and real accountability, and if we do not get it we will keep voting out complacent and unresponsive office holders until they get the message.

Why We Can Finally Win the MO 5th District
"I support a sound economic growth and pro-liberty message. Many of the convictions I hold not only resonate with Conservative voters, but Independents and Democrats as well. We need a candidate who understands what has created and prolonged this recession and who will create jobs now. We need a candidate who is willing to fight the establishment in both parties, to do what is right for the American people. We need a candidate who can challenge the Federal Reserve’s attack on our dollar and make it strong again. We need a candidate who won’t blindly support nation building operations abroad. We need a candidate who will have the constitution guide legislation, and who will stand up for our civil liberties. We need a candidate who will not only walk the suburbs and rural regions but the urban core. We deserve this type of candidate; I believe I can be this individual. My name is Jason Greene and I would be honored to have your vote in the Republican primary on August 7th, 2012. I know we can win the 5th district if given the opportunity. Please consider donating and supporting my campaign. Learn more about me and my detailed plans to restore America’s promise and jumpstart our economy."
